"Weaving Ancestral Wisdom into Modern Narratives”
About me:
I am a West Yorkshire-based artist and Further Education specialist dedicated to the idea that art should inspire, empower, and educate. My practice is deeply multi-disciplinary, bridging the gap between traditional fine art and modern digital/music technologies.
With an M.A. in Contemporary Fine Arts Practices from Leeds Beckett University, my research-led work investigates the rhythmic relationship between colour and Roots Reggae music, as well as the reclaimed histories of African artifacts held in museum collections. As a trained painter and self-taught textile, music maker, I aim to create multi-sensory experiences that challenge how we perceive image-making and cultural heritage.
